SPA DESIGN:

  • Provide Spa Facility Brief as an architectural and design guideline for overall spa design
  • Assist architects in order to provide an operationally sound and esthetically pleasing plan
  • Provide recommendation and spec´s for equipment to be incorporated in overall spa design
  • Assist with custom millwork and furniture design
  • Feedback and approval of all spa millwork plans 
  • Review of all electrical and lighting plans

CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT: 

  • Research Trip for Spa Concept
  • Identify a distinctive and unique spa concept and philosophy
  • Define a particular spa experience
  • Create and develop indigenous and innovative treatments
  • Develop retail collection from the spa treatments
  • Absorb the location of the spa and integrate with treatments
  • Coordinate the spa to have synergy with other existing hotel operations/departments

FACILITY PLANNING: 

  • Define a facility program, with market research, spa concept, spa facility and flow plus a proposed Menu of Services
  • Define facility program for Fitness Center and Wellbeing Programs
  • Work with architect and designer, to ensure the spa concept is reflected in terms of color, design, furniture and fixtures.
  • To ensure the selection of equipment is appropriate, operationally and visually
  • To set ambience of the spa facility, with “appeal to the senses”
  • Pre Opening Spa and Wellness Center Budget

RECRUITMENT AND TRAINING: 

  • Assist with the recruiting of suitable spa personal
  • Preparation of a comprehensive training plan, including pre and post opening for all spa staff, with defined job roles complete with duties and responsibilities
  • Preparation or training manual, with treatment techniques, procedures and product knowledge
  • Evaluate treatment skills to endure the success of the spa

OPERATION AND MANAGEMENT: 

  • A completed Operations manual, defining operation procedures and facility checklists
  • Guest flow strategies would be determined, to suit facility and operation
  • Establish a pre and post training plan and program
  • Create operational and retail stock quality controls with inventories
  • Devise marketing strategies, to ensure exposure and success of the spa
  • Assist Marketing and PR with the creation of Spa Menu of Services & How to Spa
  • Review operation after opening, to “fine tune” the concept and execution of spa services, with “on going” evaluation.
